As visual artist and after years working as graphic designer and professional photographer, I added to my palette the digital brushes of Corel’s Painter Digital Art Studio. Blending photography, digital and traditional art in a magical mix in 2006 I earned my a place in Corel’s international Elite Painter Masters group. I have presented various solo and group exhibitions in Canada and abroad.
Downtown Aluminum Series
Downtown is a whole organism in itself and we are all part of it. We circulate in it like particles charged with energy (positive or negative as we choose) and in order to function we interact with objects like concrete, buildings, light poles and signs. They are permanently watching us, supporting us, basically bearing us yet we seldom stop to notice them.
Painting stroke by stroke over my photographs I add by hand what my camera can’t capture: all those existing vibrations, sounds, energy and connections between the city and us. This is my Downtown Aluminum Series created on aluminum, a medium that completes the idea of being part of the city, its energy and its urban rush.
