Bridges for Hope
Carleton University, School of Social Work, Ottawa, 2020
Commissioned by Carleton University, this mural is my interpretation of what a Social worker means to society. A social worker is a bridge between problems and solutions, between ignorance and awareness, between insensibility and compassion and between stigmatization and appreciation for differences. This mural talks about acknowledgement, respect, compassion, hope, support, growing, wisdom and team work. It is at the same time a tribute to Social workers and to the communities and individuals they serve.
